Week of July 24 - July 30, 2022

Spiritual
Another wonderful Sunday at church! We enjoyed a talk from a young man who just returned from serving a mission. Primary went pretty well. At least I felt prepared to teach.

We were able to get appointments to attend the temple this week.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 32.105 records and reviewed 64,660 records so far this year. The work continues to be challenging as there are fewer and fewer options available.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins Family had a busy and good week. All are doing well. Allison continues in training for school to begin soon. Grace was able to go assist one day.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan traveled to Pennsylvania this week for work. Flights continue to be difficult and many are canceled. Cameo was busy at home with work, and preparing for her sister Jade's October wedding

And for the beginning of school August first. They attended a Meet The Teacher Open House at their new school.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran traveled out of town for work this week. Spent time in Bullhead City etc. Nice and hot! Amber is doing well and Kooper is enjoying his summer break.

Morgan
No news from Morgan this week.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan, Jessica, and the girls stopped by on Sunday evening for a visit. They had a great camping trip. Each time they go, it is easier and easier. Homeschooling is getting easier and easier as they figure out their personal routine. The girls are so enjoying it.

Dad's Garden
I am pretty sure there are no more citrus on the trees, but then dad comes in with one!

I was the flower girl in my mom's cousin, Diana Nauman's, wedding.

Diana with her brother, Elmo Nauman.

Christmas In July
It was the final week. I finished the gingerbread house project (Judy Pulver gave me the plaster house and I figured out and painted it).

I watched Miracle on 34th Street, Christmas Vacation, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Charlie Brown Halloween and Christmas, and Little Women.

Other highlights
We had a wonderful rainstorm on Monday night/Tuesday morning. Nearly filled the pool! And then another lovely storm Saturday evening with rolling thunder and lots of rain. So thankful!!

Dad flew out to North Carolina and then to Cincinnati Ohio on Monday. His first plane left a few minutes late. All else worked out and he arrived in Kentucky on time. Meetings went well. Food was so so. Hotel was so so. Trip home was long...and began with no power at the hotel and a shower in the dark. No breakfast there but he grabbed a hamburger in North Carolina during his layover there. Miraculously, every other thing was on time! Rare in today's times.

On Saturday, there was a local gem and mineral show. We all met there and looked at pretty rocks and had such a good time.

Week of July 17 - July 23, 2022

Spiritual
Dad spoke at another ward with the Stake Highcouncilman in their Sacrament Meeting. Our meeting was good. I discovered as I sat in sharing time that my other teacher was not in town, so I called dad to come over and help with the lesson. I had a full class including one boy who rarely comes and is not accustomed to church or sitting and listening. We were blessed from on high and had a great lesson and discussion in the class.

We were able to get appointments to attend the temple this week. I attended a session on Tuesday morning and Dad attended on Thursday night.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 31,322 records and reviewed 63,608 records so far this year. It has been more and more difficult to index as there are fewer and fewer records available.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins Family shared some pictures from their wonderful camping trip last week.

Adam has been struggling at work. Heat! They had been promised extra pay as the temperatures rose, but apparently 114 degrees is not hot enough. Grace had a good week and left for Girls Camp early on Monday. She shared some pics as she returned Saturday.

Allison started back to work...training...and here is her classroom.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan, Cameo and family are doing well and enjoying Summer.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran and Amber and family headed up to Flagstaff for a vacation and cooler weather in Flagstaff.

Morgan
No news from Morgan this week.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week. She enjoyed keeping up with the baseball all-star game.

The Nathan Rice Family
Home School started this week for Anna and Ellie and it went well. The only student needing to see the principal was...Eve! She wanted to occupy too much of the teacher's time. This week included swimming at a friend's house, a chiropractor visit for Annie, piano lessons and swim time here, visits to Grammy Lorrie, and an overnight campout up in Flagstaff with Doran and family.

Dad's Garden
Dad is working on the other raised bed, getting the forms up to pour the foundation.

Scott and I open Christmas Gifts at Tutu Louise Wolf Marsh Hart's House

Me, my moms brother Uncle John D. Hart, Jr, and Scott

Sharynn is added playing the bongos

I remember this dress. I had what I thought were gogo boots, though they were cloth instead of vinyl/patent leather

My cook Western Day outfit made by Mom

I so remember this play house. I helped my dad build it. He told me it was a house for the lawn mower. I woke up and was so surprised to see the red gingham curtains and a countertop and chair inside.

Christmas in July
I completed my ornaments including labeling and wrapping. I also watched The Santa Clause 2 and 3.

Other highlights
We had some nice rain on Sunday night and a little on Monday morning. That was the nicest part of my week of jogging. Saturday, I jogged in 98-degree weather. It was brutal!

We got a flat of raspberries on Wednesday and those became jam on Saturday morning.

On my run Wednesday, I saw something cross the street in front of me in a neighborhood. It was a raccoon! He ended up posing for me, and then returned to his walking across the street as I jogged on.
