Week of June 23 - 29, 2019

Highlights:

Spiritual
Sunday was very good. A great young man in our ward spoke before departing on his full time mission to Idaho Falls, Idaho. Dad taught Young Men and I enjoyed Relief Society. I had choir practice that afternoon.

I attended the temple Tuesday morning and performed sealing ordinances. Dad attended both Wednesday and Thursday nights.

I continue to read in the Book of Mormon daily as well as listen to a General Conference Talk every day. I am also reading the July Ensign Magazine.

I have indexed 13068 records and reviewed 27936 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins family had a good and busy week.

The Ethan Rice Family
More pics from Ethan and Cameo's Tennessee adventure.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber and family spent their first week in their new digs...and did pretty well. Saturday morning was spent completing their move out. We saw them on Saturday evening as they came to snack and swim.

Morgan
Morgan and Aimee had a good week and enjoyed fishing on the weekend.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week.

The Nathan Rice Family
First full week back to work for Nathan, and first week doing it all for Jessica...and they both did well. Nathan was transferred to Honeywell Space, which is a very very difficult site and division to become a part of (Dad has tried often, never even gotten an interview). Annalee enjoyed her dancing class on Tuesday and I enjoyed a quick visit while Jessica worked the nursery there. They are enjoying their home and Emma is doing great.

Dad's Garden
Basil and peppers are doing well. Dad is now into bees and he spent Friday acquiring the beginnings of a new hive with someone that volunteered from Beekeepers of Arizona.

Other highlights
I took Nano on Thursday to get her hair permed and cut, to get money from the bank and to drive by her old house.

Week of June 17 - 22, 2019

Highlights:

Spiritual
We had very good Sunday classes, with High Council speakers at Sacrament Meeting, dad attended a great teacher development class and I attended Sunday School class with Brother Alan Dibb teaching.

We attended a session at the temple together on Wednesday evening. Dad also went to perform work on Saturday afternoon.

No scouts this week for either of us.

I continue reading the Book of Mormon and listening to a General Conference talk daily. I am on my third time through the Priesthood Session.

I have indexed 12535 records and reviewed 26611 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins family had a busy and good week. Grace was able to travel to Manti Utah to attend the Mormon Miracle Pageant on Friday evening. I remember seeing it when I went on a Super Activity to Utah when I was in high school. The church is now cutting down on pageants at temples, so this will be the final one in Manti.

The Ethan Rice Family
We saw more pictures from their Tennessee Adventure a couple weeks ago.

They had a great Father's Day, with homemade biscuits and gravy and sharing Tomato Round Steak with Morgan, Aimee and Emileigh

I talked with them Saturday as Ethan was working on getting water to their garden. They have quite a few plants doing very well there already.

The Doran Rice Family
Kelsie went to Utah for Girl's Camp this week.

This family found out the counter offer was accepted and they emptied their house by Saturday. Four trailers full later, their belongings were safely stored in a storage unit.

Morgan
Some pics of Morgan and Aimee's garden spoils

Kayty
Kayty had a good week which included beach day at work on Tuesday (she never could figure out what "business beach attire" meant). She is now walking over the neighborhood playing some kind of Harry Potter Pokemon Go game.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan had a good Father's Day, and shared this:
"I love being a father more than any other role or title that I have or will ever have. I have learned more about my self, my savior Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father from being a father to my three beautiful daughters. Its all to often when I am struggling with my kids breaking rules or not listening to me that I am reminded that I an not perfect either and the lord is saying the same things that I say "if you would listen to us you will be safer and happier". I am so grateful for my children and also for my father and the other fathers in my life that have taught me and guided me along the way. I am also grateful for my heavenly father who is patient with me and has blessed me with an amazing family and an amazing life."
The week was filled with dancing class for Anna, potty training for Ellie, and eating and sleeping for Emma. Nathan returned to work on Friday. They ate out briefly that night and the big girls played here. Saturday was helping Doran and Amber move.

Dad's Garden
Tomatoes are toast. Peppers and basil are doing well. Beehives are the newest hobby.

Other highlights
Father's Day was wonderful for Dad. His favorites before church, pecan pie on the way out the door from church, a Caprese salad for lunch, and talks and/or visits from all six kids and all grandkids. He got a new pump for tires that he now carries in his car. It was a great day.

Nano shopping included WalMart (which is now too sketchy for me to take her alone to) to buy nightgowns and Diet Coke and to the pharmacy. I brought a suitcase to her so she could get packing for her trip to California with Sharynn in a few weeks.

Grandma came by between Uncle Loyd visits for a visit with us. She didn't have time for Dad to take her to lunch for her birthday, but we had a good visit. She is very busy!!!
