Week of December 22 - December 31, 2024

Spiritual
Our Christmas Sunday Sacrament Meeting was beautiful and inspiring from beginning to end. Testimonies from our oldest youth were mixed with a cello quartet, a soprano solo, primary songs, the ward choir and a combined musical number. We had such a lovely Sunday. The final Sunday of the year we did not need to sit alone as Nathan and family joined us. It was a great missionary homecoming from a young sister in our ward who served a service mission in the Phoenix Mission. She wore her nametag absolutely everywhere and her father shared the many times that people would stop and ask her about her nametag and her faith. What a fantastic example for all of us!!! Our final primary with our class was good. It was absolutely wonderful sharing primary with Annie, Ellie and Emma. They are smart and confident and it was absolutely a joy to watch them.

We were unable to attend the temple this week.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I indexed 63,876 records and reviewed 23,901 records this year.

Kayty

One major low this week.

The Nathan Rice Family
Happy Birthday Eve on Sunday! She had a wonderful birthday and they also had a very nice Christmas. The girls called and shared about their wonderful gifts. Christmas night, they packed up and drove to Phoenix. We were so happy to be able to play with the girls while Nathan and Jessica attended a session at the temple. Lots of fun outdoor plus picking oranges, carrots and radishes.

On Tuesday, we made pizza and played more.

Dad's Garden
Garden is doing well and we continue to harvest romaine, collards, radishes, carrots and our citrus trees are doing well.

Other highlights
We spent a few hours on Monday working in the yard after my household chores were finished. Dee trimmed, I clipped and hauled, and then Dee chipped a lot of branches from the carob tree. With quarterly pickup visits now by appointment only and the size of our pile is limited, we found a chipper on Facebook Marketplace and purchased it. It worked great.

We worked on repairing the yard gate on Tuesday plus did lots more yard work.

Dad also scrubbed and cleaned all the solar panels. With no rain for months, they were very dirty.
