Week of July 10 - July 16, 2022

Spiritual
We had another good Sunday meeting as another sister spoke before leaving on her mission to Brazil. I had prepared my primary lesson but only one child came so we had to go with another class.

We were able to get appointments to attend the temple this week. I did have to cancel mine since I was up all night sick with an intestinal bug. Dad attended on Thursday evening.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 30,892 records and reviewed 63,216 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins Family enjoyed another special week, celebrating Josh's Choice: Outdoor Week. They enjoyed a really fun family camping trip on Mount Charleston and had fun hiking. Adam taught Sam how to whittle and he enjoyed that new skill. They had many other fun activities throughout the week. Allison continues in school and preparing for training coming up to prepare for her Second Grade class.
Mike is doing great at work and the kids are all well.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan, Cameo and the kids had a good week. They had a surprise camping trip scheduled for the weekend so they prepared for that. High Falls State Park with their old friends, the Adairs, was the plan.
Hoping they are having a great time.

Kaylee made a cute sun hat for her bunny, Lola.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber and Kooper had a good week. Very busy with work. Kelsie remains living in a group home and appears very happy. They visited on Saturday to swim a bit and to pick up their travel trailer so they can go camping in Flagstaff this week.

Morgan
No news from Morgan.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week. She was back to working typical days and hours and no training on auto policies. She enjoyed viewing Jurassic World again.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan and Jessica got back to a regular schedule this week. They are choosing to homeschool the older girls this school year and are preparing for that. Jessica's parents gave them their gently used washer and dryer so now they are back to doing laundry. They had a great Saturday, attending a primary swimming party in the morning and playing here with cousins on Saturday afternoon.

Dad's Garden
No gardening this week. Too hot. Chickens are still alive and that is an accomplishment in this heat.

Camping at Woods Canyon Lake

Yes, this was the original Woods Canyon Lake Store

Christmas at Tutu's House

Christmas In July
I continue to paint ornaments and am nearing completion. I listen to Christmas music daily as I clean. I was able to watch the movies Elf and The Santa Clause.

Other highlights
Had a 24-hour stomach/intestinal bug on Tuesday. Not a highlight.

Hot weather rules right now. The most difficult is then 97 degrees running in the morning. What a blessing to have 87-degree air on Thursday. A storm had gone through overnight though our house got no rain.

Week of July 3 - July 9, 2022

Spiritual
Sunday was another great Fast and Testimony meeting though our ward was very empty. Many people head to Utah this time of year. Primary went well.

Dad attended a session at the temple on Wednesday evening. We had been told no more appointments were necessary but when he arrived, only a few minutes before the session, he was sent to the office to be questioned. He hurried into the session and there were 12 people in it, including him. Capacity is 80. Not sure why the inquisition but we will make appointments from now on.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 30,311 records and reviewed 62,171 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
Josh and Mike had a wonderful Young Men's trip last week. They drove to Idaho and performed baptismal ordinances in the Twin Falls Temple and then the next day, they drove to the Salmon River for some exciting white water rafting.
The family at home had a good week and Sam enjoyed a trip to Build a Bear.

Mike put on an excellent family fireworks show on July 4th.

This week the family toured the Neon Museum.

The Ethan Rice Family
This family has enjoyed camping in a new part of Georgia. They got a surprising last minute spot in a very popular campground and ended up getting to tube down the Chatahoochie River.

They returned home on Tuesday and had dental appointments after Cameo was done with her work day while Ethan worked in Smyrna. And Wade had a great surprise: lost his first tooth!!

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber and Kooper had a lovely weekend away. They stayed in Flagstaff at a hotel and enjoyed the cool weather. Work has been good for both of them. Kelsie remains in a group home where she seems to want to be.

Morgan
No news from Morgan

Kayty
Kayty had a good week, though she is not thrilled with the auto training.

Two major saves this week.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan and Jessica and the girls had a great July 4th. They made a lovely blueberry pie and delivered it to me. along with some wonderful pictures and t shirts.

Happy Birthday Jessica on Saturday!
The girls came here to play while they went out to breakfast to celebrate.

Dad's Garden
Dad picked the final few oranges. He is tearing out the old garden bed and is readying to build a new block garden bed. He transplanted the oregano and we hope it survives.

Christmas In July
Christmas In July activities this week included ornament painting, cleaning to Christmas music, and I watched "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer".

Other highlights
My birthday was simple as usual. I received birthday greetings from Allison and Grace via Marco Polo. Ethan send me gifts for my Grinch Christmas Village and we spoke via Facetime. Doran called me after they returned from their trip. Kayty got me a new mushroom slicer. And Nathan and the family visited. Dad got me some chocolate chips and took me to Hobby Lobby. There was no Pumpkin Wall of Happiness but there were a couple of Aisles of Happiness.

We later went to Cabelas...not my favorite place but we needed to use up Cabelas points.
