Lynx Lake Hike, Fish, and Picnic

Lynx Lake is located just about an hour and a half north of Phoenix, in Prescott, Arizona. An hour and a half, I say, unless you are talking and don't notice you missed the Cordes Junction Exit until you are almost at the Camp Verde Exit, and, thus, have to take the long way, through the charming ghost mining town of Jerome, with horrifying winding roads which emphasize our car's yet unrepaired steering difficulty. The picnic ended up being eaten as we came in the "back" way and had to ask...and ask...how to get to the lake.
I am sure they must be barfing, because I am certainly ready to!

When we got there, though, it was wonderful. The weather is at least 20 degrees cooler, and there were lovely clouds filling the sky as we arrived.

We set out hiking, first, which was a good thing.

Good thing, because we were fresh, and ready...

And people were busy fishing...

Until we got back, after about an hour.

Nathan took time, baited, tied, and got the pole ready for Jessica.

She had a few nibbles...

Until...

The sky opened up. Yes, it was awesome, cool rain. We just drank up the coolness...
