We so enjoyed having Ethan, Cameo, Kaylee and Wade attend Sacrament Meeting with us on Sunday! I loved sitting snuggling a granddaughter during the meeting. Our meeting included talks about the Fast To Feast that the youth and their leaders did a couple Wednesdays ago. They began a fast for missionary work Tuesday after dinner, continued through their Wednesday of school, and then we encouraged to bring a friend not of our faith to the feast on Wednesday at Young Men/Young Womens. I sat with a primary class for the next two hours substituting for one of the teachers, and Dad enjoyed Deacons quorum and was set apart after church.
I came down with a terrible stuffy nose and wasn't able to attend the temple this week. It has been a long time. I had planned to go, but needed to visit teach, take Morgan to and from work, etc. that got in the way.
Dad enjoyed his first Young Mens meeting this week. They worked on the hiking merit badge and had a guest from another ward come and tell them rules of safe hiking, etc.
I have indexed 34757 records so far this year.
I am in Mosiah 22 in my Book of Mormon reading
Family
The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins Family had a very wonderful week, after everyone got well from the virus that hit their family. Josh celebrated his 8th birthday...Happy Birthday Josh! He wanted cheesecake and Mom made him a great one...no cracks.
Grampa and Grandma Wilkins came up on Friday. They went to Adam's school piano concert. I hear from many it was absolutely amazing!
They had pizza and fun that night. We left very early Saturday morning (5:09 am to be exact), watch the moon set and the sun rise, drove and drove, and arrived in Las Vegas for the Baptism of Joshua Andrew Wilkins
I was honored to be asked to speak on baptism. Josh was baptized by Dad - Mike, and the witnesses were Papa and Grampa Wilkins. Allison gave a wonderful personal experience talk on the Holy Ghost. Josh was confirmed by Mike, with their bishop, the ward mission leader and his assistant, and Gary Wilkins and Doran Rice participating. Adam said the closing prayer.
We headed to the house for some yummy tacos!! Papa worked with Josh and brothers on a new birthday gift.
All too soon, and really it was...we had to return home. We were blessed with safe travels, no dangerous traffic, and it stayed light enough so we weren't driving that dangerous road in the dark. We also saw the sun set and the full moon rise on our travels home, plus lots of lovely Christmas lights.
The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan and family had dinner out on Sunday with Cameo's eldest sister Bess at Oregano's on Sunday. It was very good. They stayed at the Wallins, but the kids were struggling with health stuff, so the doctor was visited on Monday. Kaylee had an ear infection and was put on different meds and a new allergy med. Wade was covered in splotches that the doctor thought was a penicillin allergy and gave him new meds for his ear infection. The splotches continued however and they were desperately trying to discover the source of the allergic sensitivity. Ethan and Wade slept here Tuesday night, fearing it might be an allergy to the dog. After more doctor appointments, it was confirmed a penicillin allergy. They spent their week seeing many people, having lunches out and dinners out, getting pictures taken, getting a great deal on shoes at Savers, and attending Jade's housewarming party.
Happy First Birthday, Wade on Friday!! He spent the day with family at Jumpstreet and getting his picture taken.
They asked to stay the last night with us while we were driving home from Vegas, and we had a good last night with them.

I was able to FaceTime with Kooper on Sunday. He was so excited about their Christmas tree and all the outside lights he and Doran and put up, so he gave me a tour. I loved it!! They had a good week though one of their dogs had some problems with seizures. Doran had a good doctors appointment this week with some new meds and Kooper did great at the dentist.

Morgan moved much of his stuff out with his friend Kyle on Sunday night. He had a good work week.
Kayty
Kayty spent her week working and enjoying music and watching reruns of the Office.
