Week of September 24 - September 30, 2023

Spiritual
We had our first testimony meeting as a new realigned ward. It was okay. I have done this many times and I find leaders often bend over too far backward to make those brought in feel great, and often neglect the ones that are the old standbys that have lost many friendships. If I heard "The Stetson Triangle" one more time, I was going to puke! Anyway, primary was okay. Still having troubles with playing my movie so I may have to try something else.

We enjoyed watching the three sessions of General Conference on Saturday.

Dad attended a session at the temple on Thursday.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study, and Come Follow Me study continues daily. This General Conference, I listened to the entire Conference thirteen times.

I have indexed 13,213 records and reviewed 20,320 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
We received the sad news that Mike and Allison's brother-in-law, Kimball Clark (wife Tiffin is Mike's sister) was tragically killed in a car accident on Thursday morning when a semi truck ran a stop sign. He was on his way to work where he taught seminary and high school math. Such a terrible loss.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan, Cameo, Kaylee, and Wade quickly returned to work, school, softball, and la crosse practices and had a very good week.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran and Amber had a busy week with both work and meeting with school leaders to get Kelsie back to her regular high school. Kooper had a busy week at school and is doing well.

Morgan
No news from Morgan

Kayty
Kayty had a fun week at work as they celebrated their employees with fun dress-up days, great meals, and yummy snacks. She did well at her jewelry shows as well.

The Nathan Rice Family
I sent the girls a little Halloween care package on Monday and they called on Thursday briefly to say thank you. They are enjoying their fall break from home school.

Dad's Garden
Dad is busy working soil and planting seeds...plus keeping chickens from eating the seedlings.

Other highlights
I went to visit Mom on Thursday and she actually smiled at me once.

Still trying to get our roof finished. There are just a few things that are not aesthetically good and we have tried for weeks. This is a licensed contractor, but we are trying to not go any route other than to politely request once a week for things to be fixed.
