Week of June 3-9, 2018

Highlights:

Spiritual
A special fast was held in Arizona to ask for relief from the years of drought we have experienced. Ourselves, we have not had hardly any rain since last August, and there was little snow up north. It was a wonderful day at church, with great testimonies born and great lessons shared.

No scouts for me and Dad's scouts were at Camp Geronimo this week.

Dad attended a temple session on Thursday night.

I have reviewed 17234 records and indexed 11829 records so far this year.

In the Book of Mormon, I am in 3 Nephi 4.

Family

The Wilkins Family
I talked to Adam early in the week, just chatting with kids and finding out about all. Tuesday, Grace got to head to Girls' Camp for the week.
Adam helped out a lot at home while Josh was in school and Grace was gone. Sam enjoyed M week
Happy 15th Birthday on Saturday, Adam!!

The Ethan Rice Family
This family included pool time on the weekend. Wadey just loves to jump right in and has little fear of the water.

I FaceTimed with Ethan and the kids on Monday evening. Kaylee is attending Vacation Bible School with her school friends this week and having a wonderful time.

This is a photo from May...a special Mother Daughter Activity. Kaylee won the pretty teapot.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran and Amber had a busy work week, but spent Friday up in Northern Arizona for a family day trip.

Morgan
Morgan is working late at his job and they are training him to do TIG welding. He likes what he is doing and is enjoying the new surroundings and lots and lots of rain.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week, though she came down with another sore throat and so she has been under the weather for the last few days.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan had a huge school week. It started with a very technical piece of homework on Monday that had to include so may items, he didn't get it completed in time. They did some fishing as a family, and Jessica caught 4 fish! He worked all week on another huge project/report.

Dad's Garden
We picked and sauced the last tomatoes. The garden did better than we first thought.

Tomato count 1831

Grapes are still growing but still sour and not ready. I know this personally. Yuck!

Other highlights
I started into a cupboard and ended up cleaning up all my craft supplies and got one cupboard emptied over the washing machine, which I quickly filled with other necessary stuff. Glad to keep only what I need.

I took a friend in the ward to the dentist and then back home on Tuesday, since she had foot surgery and cannot drive yet. We visited them that evening too.

Dad went out to Red Robin Restaurant and got a free hamburger given to teachers to celebrate the end of the school year.

Nano shopping involved three stores, the pharmacy, and the bank.

Couple of good swims this week.

Dad took Grandma Dorrie to lunch at New Asian Kitchen to celebrate her birthday on Saturday.

Saturday was full of roasting the remaining tomatoes and canning sauce. 19 pints.
