Week of August 12 - 18, 2018

Highlights:

Spiritual
Sunday was good. We had a great talk on the Holy Ghost by President James Day. I had cub committee meeting and then choir practice right after.

I attended a session at the temple on Tuesday morning. Dad went to the temple on Wednesday evening.

My scouts was a fiasco this week. We have one scout with absolutely no desire to be part of scouts, and I finally had to sit with him in the hallway so the other boys could accomplish their adventure. Now, I understand boy behavior, and we don't mind if they get up and move around, but this boy apparently has not been disciplined and has to desire to do anything. He even almost got to the fire alarm. Dad is coming to help with him next week.

I am in Alma 2 in the Book of Mormon.

I have indexed 13387 records and reviewed 29468 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
Adam started back to school on Monday. First day of Sophomore year...

Sam started his final year of Mom Preschool.

The Ethan Rice Family
Kaylee had homework this week...A Family Pennant

They had a surprise visitor stop by and they enjoyed their visit.
The Doran Rice Family
Doran's stomach troubles worsened on Sunday, and Amber took him to the Emergency Room on Monday. They ran many tests and did a CT scan, but found nothing that could be surgically repaired or was an immediate danger to him. They sent him home with medications and referrals to a gastroenterologist.

Morgan
Morgan is doing well and likes his job.

Kayty
Kayty worked four days, and then headed to San Diego for Niall Horan's concert. She had a great seat and loved every minute.

Craziest thing: border patrol checks both on the way there and back, including the drug dog check
Her car achieved her favorite number 4, five times over, on the way home.
No saves this week! Hooray!!
The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan spent the week busily completing a project at school. In addition, he and a friend continue to work on their lead collecting device and prepared a presentation that was given on Thursday night before the leaders at the shooting range showing the benefits of their service. Jessica, Anna and Ellie are doing well.

Dad's Garden
Dad prepared what used to be the grapevine gazebo area for cherry tomatoes. He planted the seeds and has been watering night and day.

Other highlights
Morning weather has been much nicer this week, which brought nice morning jogs for me and a couple of morning hikes for dad.

We had a good rain this week on Thursday evening.

Dad is back to substitute teaching. Friday, he taught first grade at Painted Rock Academy.
