Week of January 16 - 22, 2022

Spiritual
Sunday was good and we had stake speakers in Sacrament Meeting and Megan was back to teach our primary class. The bishop came in to bring the kids their temple rings and a picture of the temple.

We were unable to get temple appointments this week but is has reopened.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 1867 records and reviewed 4325 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins enjoyed a nice Sunday evening walk around the park...got some of that pent up Sunday energy out. Grace received her Patriarchal Blessing on Sunday. She had a wonderful experience.

Adam got a new car last week. There was a backing-up mishap and a gas line was broken and had to be repaired. Oh, the fun of being a new car owner. We are just so thankful nothing serious happened and all are well. Only challenge will be the repair bill.

Josh is doing well! Still a crazy climbing boy, just like he always has been. School has been a bit crazy with sick teachers out but they are surviving.

The plan for Sam's birthday was to use the Pogo Passes they got with Nano money and go bowling but things were a bit crazy and that had to be postponed till this coming week. He did love his birthday! He had a chocolate cake and he was able to decorate it!  And for gifts, he got a nerf gun, a coloring kit, a helicopter, a woodworking kit and  Orange Chicken and chocolate milk...though that happened to come up in the car on the way to school. Poor Sam, not a fun birthday!!! But that means the post-birthday will be spectacular! Sam is so excited to get baptized now that he is eight. No date yet.

This week, Allison has an interview at Sam's school to be a cafeteria cashier. She is getting her paperwork in for her gradschool next year, plus she is applying to be a CASA volunteer.

The Ethan Rice Family
This family's week started with SNOW!

We were blessed to have Ethan come and share dinner with us this week while he was here for a few days on a business trip.

Cameo was super woman holding down the fort, caring for and medicating Wade on the worst days of recovery, and taking Kaylee to school in some awfully cold temperatures.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber and the kids had a busy and good week.

Morgan
Morgan's work is slowing down but he is doing well.

Kayty
Kayty had lots of work and lots of overtime this week. Double time on Monday, late hours throughout the week and even a night she finished right before we went to bed. She finally left the house on Saturday and got her nails done.

The Nathan Rice Family
This week was good for Nathan, Jessica and family. They are getting into more of a rhythm now that Eve has joined their family. They visited us on Sunday.

Nathan was able to get some pavers from a trash pile that he intends to sell and got some windows to use the glass for a wood kiln he is creating. Annie had a fever on Wednesday but was back to normal on Thursday so she could dress up for the 100th Day of School.
Happy One Month to Miss Eve on Saturday. I got to hold her and truly she smiled at me!

Dad's Garden
Plants are doing well and we are enjoying spinach and the citrus is plentiful! Ethan picked a sack to take home with him on the plane.

Family History
More slides from my mom
This is the grave of my dad's mom, Etta Lucille Taylor Kew. It is located at Greenwood Cemetery in Phoenix. In the picture is my dad's sister, Muriel Lucille Kew...or Aunt Moo as I called her.

Various pictures of me as a toddler.

Other highlights
Lots of return to normal this week as the shelves in the living room were restocked with the pics of family I took down and packed up in September.

Dad spent the week filling in voids in our house trip preparing to paint. He also did it on the shed outside.

Morgan and Nathan came Saturday and fixed the fuel pump and gas tank on Dad's jeep.
