Week of April 17-23, 2022

Spiritual
Easter Sunday was wonderful. Sacrament Meeting was full of music from the primary children and the choir, and there was a lovely talk on Jesus Christ. I decided after learning of Elizabeth's experience at church, I was no longer going to sit in my seat and just wait for the meeting to start so I actually visited with two families of my primary kids and a couple of other people. I guess I am an introvert because those conversations were exhausting, but no one is going to leave church and not be spoken with if I can help it.

I was able to get an appointment to attend the temple this week. I attended an endowment session on Tuesday morning.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 17,200 records and reviewed 34,355 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins Family had a good Spring Break last week, though modified. They were unsure of the seriousness of Josh's injury so they took it easy, but that ended up being the cure. Adam is doing quite well at work and is saving to move out on his own. Grace had been working on a Mother's Day musical number for both primary and Youth that she was assigned to do, and it was been very difficult to coordinate. She played a lovely song and sang for social media and we so enjoyed that. Josh is happy and doing well, and so is Sam. They enjoyed their Easter fondue dinner, though it was a bit disturbing to see the poor chocolate bunny melting away in the pot. They had a good week and looked forward to soccer games for Josh on Saturday.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan made a quick business trip to Phoenix this week. He was able to come by and share dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Happy Anniversary to this family on the 22nd

The big basement move to the storage unit was on Saturday. Ethan's friend and Cameo's two friends got that safe up the ramp and into the rented moving truck.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber, Kelsie and Kooper are well and came by for a visit Saturday. Work and school are going well.

Morgan
Morgan and Cassie and preparing to move to South Dakota for a change of scenery and to help out Cassie's aunt.

Kayty
Kayty worked from home all week due to a cold she has. She got a few hours overtime and enjoyed a hockey game on Wednesday night.

One major and one minor save this week.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan has been working so hard. He is swamped with a project at work. Plus his big outside back yard project is taking a lot of time. Cement berms are going in and should be complete this weekend. Then comes a new watering system and new grass. The girls played here on Friday for a bit while Mom and Dad went out to dinner.

Dad's Garden
We still have citrus so we sent some home in Ethan's suitcase. Dad has some pretty nice tomatoes growing under the lemon tree. We have harvested a few others but these are the most promising.

Family History
More of Nano's slide collection
My Aunt Muriel L Kew watches as I hang my stocking on the fireplace.

Me and My great grandmother (My Nano) Irma Zelia Pratt Wolf Leiber. In the background is J.D. Bill Hart, the second husband of my grandmother, Louise Amelia Wolf Marsh Hart. He was a wonderful person and was always smoking a cigar. He was a great golfer.

Other highlights
Happy Birthday to Dad on Thursday. We spent the day doing what he likes to do: going to Deseret Industries, Harbor Freight, the Chinese food market and then after the girl's piano lesson was over, we had some pineapple pie. (I was so thankful that Nathan made me two complete double crusts to make the pies. He makes the best pie crust!

I got some trim off the wall during the week and now I am proceeding to get some new stuff purchased.

Dad took a swim on Wednesday and enjoyed it.
