Week of April 14 - 20, 2019

Highlights:

Spiritual
Sunday was back to church meetings, though it was Ward Conference, so the adults met together the second hour with the Stake President. It was a good learning session as he spoke about the importance of teaching in families and as individuals and basing things on The Family: A Proclamation to the World.

Scout committee meeting and choir practice went well on Sunday.

I attended the Phoenix Temple on Tuesday morning to seal individuals to their parents and couples for eternity. The Sealer took the time to share some inspiration as we continued, making it a very special session. I spent a little time in the temple Celestial Room before I returned home. Dad attended the temple on Thursday evening.

Cub Scout meeting was a bit wild but we did well. We leaders are getting together next week to plan the Summer and beyond. Dad's scouts had a planning night.

I am listening to and reading General Conference talks and daily in the Book of Mormon.

I have indexed 8787 records and reviewed 16337 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
Wilkins family was on Spring Break this week. Monday was bowling.

Tuesday was dentist and dollar theater

Thursday was...

Friday was swimming and Thrifty ice cream.

Saturday included a double header soccer game for Josh. Grace is so excited to participate in the Stake Conference choir along with Mike and Adam on Easter as Elder Jeffrey R. Holland comes to speak.

The Ethan Rice Family

The Doran Rice Family
Last weekend on their way home from their first trailer camping trial, Doran, Amber, Kelsie and Kooper stopped at a farm and had some great fun!

Doran continues to install tile in their home to ready it for sale.
Morgan
Morgan, Aimee, and Emileigh had a good week. They are enjoying their new home!

Kayty
Kayty is doing well. She had a good work week, and had fun dying eggs with the girls.

The Nathan Rice Family
Busy week looking for houses, working and just keeping up with the daily doings of life. Nathan struggled with a lung infection on Sunday and Monday, but he quickly was on the mend. He assembled our new playground addition with help from the girls.

We dyed eggs on Wednesday night.

Dad's Garden

New tomatoes are growing well. We have enough snow pea seeds to feed a small continent with plants next year. I continue to get spinach and chard for Dad's salads.

Other highlights
Took Mom to see her arthritis doctor. No new appointment for a year. She is doing well and waiting for the sale on her home to close. Some pictures of the home I grew up in before it goes to another family.
