Week of April 7 - 13, 2019

Highlights:

Spiritual
General Conference was wonderful. I truly cannot pick one talk from Sunday that especially touched me. They all were so faith promoting. I began listening to a session each day on Monday, and started reading the texts on Wednesday. I learned so much from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's talk about the Sacrament and Sacrament Meeting and worked on striving to improve from now on.

We also participated in Nathan's traditional Korean Meal which has a long Korean name and tasted wonderful.

I continue reading the Book of Mormon every day. I completed reading the April Ensign Magazine cover to cover this week. I also started listening to General Conference sessions during indexing this week.

I have indexed 8563 records and reviewed 15183 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family

It was quite a week for the Wilkins family! Wednesday night was Adam's Spring Piano Ensemble Concert. We enjoyed watching the video Allison shared with us. Loved the ragtime music, personally. Very difficult to play and wonderful to listen to!!

Grace was interviewed about her upcoming school performance by a local paper. Here are her comments:
"Grace Wilkins, 12, is part of both the theater class and the choir class. She is in seventh grade and plans to become a teacher and an actor.

“It’s fun because you get to work with different people and explore different things …” Grace said.

Grace performed her paired scene with Dean Withem, “Remember the Burrito,” in front of the 20-student classroom. After, Erickson and other students gave them feedback."

Josh had his second soccer game and scored a goal. His team won, 4-2! Congratulations!!

The Ethan Rice Family
The family attended a Home Depot Kids Create event on Saturday.

They enjoyed an End of Spring Break fishing trip

Ethan and family working on a deck garden. We talked via FaceTime and saw their new tomato plants doing quite well.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber and family had a good week, and decided to test their new trailer on a campout to Wilcox.

Morgan
We spoke with Morgan, Aimee and Emileigh on Saturday and had a fun tour of their new home. It is lovely and full of happiness already. We also saw their fish, their dogs and their sweet cat. It is beautiful and green all around and they are very happy.

Kayty
Fun spirit week at work. She dressed up each day and then enjoyed a company picnic on Thursday.

She also enjoyed a new milkshake treat at Dripps...

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan started at Honeywell Space this week. Still tons of overtime, but he is able to work with great people in a whole new field. Jessica went for an OB check on Monday and she and baby are doing great.

Some pictures taken this week.

Dad's Garden
Spinach is still plentiful. Tomato plants are doing pretty well.

Other highlights
This week, I learned more about Mom's care needs and got her prescriptions ordered and picked up. I took her to her ward elderly sister luncheon and got more of her finances figured out. She will sign closing papers on her house Saturday, and it should close on April 26th. Progress is slow but I am figuring things out, and Sharynn has been a great help.
