Week of November 30-December 5, 2020

Highlights:

Spiritual
We had a wonderful day at church. We picked up Alice at the stake president's new house on the way to church. Jordan Sheppard was home from BYU and played the organ masterfully. Lovely Christmas music! Great speakers.

Family

The Wilkins Family
Happy 11th Birthday to Joshua on Tuesday! Josh looked forward to some sushi for lunch and orange chicken for dinner...and a pecan pie for his dessert to celebrate.

The kids are over the worst of their colds and sore throats and Mike and Allison are remaining healthy. They let the kids sleep in on Sunday and then listened to a General Conference talk and had their Sacrament. After a week off of soccer, Josh and Sam are back into the routine of practices and games. They had no school last week and some didn't have it on Monday. Last week with sick kids, they didn't do many activities or hikes. Allison did get all their house decorated for Christmas. They do plan on seeing Santa next week...behind plexiglass...at Bass Pro Shop.

Allison shared this on social media:
"Grace is the best example of Christlike love. She loves serving others and tries so hard to make everyone around her happy. She exudes light and joy and goodness. I am so thankful for all of her help, her crepes-making skills and her sweet hugs when she sees I'm having a hard time."

The Ethan Rice Family
Happy 4th Birthday to Wade on Tuesday!

On Thursday, there was a special presentation at school. Kaylee was chosen as one of the Top Titans for November from Timber Ridge School. We watched via Google Meet.

Dad flew out on Friday for a visit. Here are some pics of their Saturday adventures.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber, Kelsie and Kooper had a typical and busy school and work week. She shared some pics from their family photo session. Awesome!

Morgan
Morgan is doing well and busy at work.

Kayty
Kayty had a good week, even though it was her first five day week in weeks. She also got some overtime Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan's refrigerator went out Sunday, so they brought their frozen foods out here and took our little beverage refrigerator back with them to use till they can repair or replace it. They were blessed that it was just an outlet issue and were able to get their stuff back home soon. Nathan continues to work on repairing his car while at the same time fixing a few issues with their main vehicle. Work is going well. They have wonderful lights in their yard and their neighborhood looks great too. Jessica worked all week on putting together a Christmas gift for the sisters in the ward and that was shared, drive-by style, along with Jimmy Johns Subs at their drive-by ward Christmas party.

Dad's Garden
Dad's tomato seeds were planted in the starter mix and are sitting on my washing machine waiting to grow bigger. We continue to harvest chard, radishes, and basil.

Other highlights
Nathan and Doran helped pour a cement pad for Dad on Saturday.

We enjoyed a visit from Grandma on Sunday.

I managed to get Dad packed, including a suitcase that included four people's stocking stuffers, stuff from Grandma, and Kaylee's birthday.
