Week of January 29 - February 4, 2023

Spiritual
Our Sunday Sacrament Meeting was full of inspiration, with two talks from young men and both Doug And Cheryl Burrow sharing their experiences of answered prayers during her breast cancer fight last year as well as during their son, Jason's life and passing. Most adults went to meet with the Bishop for fifth Sunday but I sat with the Sunbeams in primary. Sunday was quiet.

We were able to attend the temple this week. I performed initiatory ordinances on Tuesday and Dad did an endowment session on Thursday evening.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 1339 records and reviewed 1195 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
Mike, Allison and family are doing well.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan, Cameo and the kids are doing well.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran and Amber both had busy weeks at work. They stopped by Friday night to pick up Market on the Move Food Dad had picked up for them. They are all doing well.

Morgan
Morgan and Cassie have relocated to a warmer part of Arizona, still near Sedona where they work. They are doing well.

Kayty
Happy Birthday Kayty on Friday. She had her favorite dinner: haystacks. She spent her day at her favorite place: Out of Africa Wildlife Zoo where she saw tigers, her beloved hyenas (alas, one had passed away a couple of weeks ago), giraffes, and had just the best day.

She got a phone message from sweet Brother Kuntz, messages from Grandma, Ethan and Cameo, and bought her favorite birthday cake. We got her a couple of pairs of her new favorite shoes. She had a good week at work and got a good annual review.

The Nathan Rice Family
I spoke with the girls earlier in the week and they are doing well. They are especially looking forward to Friday for their homeschool co-op trip to a pottery museum. I received word via text from Jessica Saturday morning that they have been in awful circumstances for the past three days. Ice from the storms has taken out a power pole near their home and they have no power.

Nathan has the refrigerator hooked up to the generator, and they periodically remove that in order to heat one bedroom that they are all in, and then return it to the refrigerator. Their water heater is gas so they do have hot water. Praying for this sweet little family that those wonderful linemen can get their power on very very soon.

Dad's Garden
Dad started a new raised bed garden in the chicken pen. It has been very very slow. It sure is hard to not be able to have Nathan drop by and help...and lift...and carry. We are slow but we did manage. Lettuce and snow peas are plentiful. We have gotten past our very cold weather and are enjoying more warm sun on the gardens.
