Highlights:
Spiritual
So wonderful to return to church with so many back with us. We were blessed with a longer testimony meeting too. We could not stay for Sunday School as there were no seats so we continued our study at home.
Temple remains open for limited us but we are not permitted to attend yet.
My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.
I have indexed 6512 records and reviewed 49007 records so far this year.
Family
The Wilkins Family
Mike has been able to get the last three Sunday evenings off so it has been nice to have him home on Sunday. They use this family time to go to a park and fly their stunt kite. Last weekend was Stake Conference for them. Elder Larkin from the Quorum of the Seventy came to speak to them. They could view from home and they did a puzzle as they listened. Allison had a last dental appointment and is looking forward to no more fillings in the future. Adam and Grace had their final Stake Youth Committee meeting for the year. Allison has created a countdown for the fun things left in Adam's senior year. We are going to be able to attend virtually. He also gets a seminary graduation dinner. Josh and Adam continue to care for a friend's tortoises. There was a bit of a water leak...Josh said they really wanted to be sea turtles. The tortoises are just fine, however. And Josh has a new name: Flooder. Josh has had a two week soccer break, but starts again next week. Sam got a fitbit and was working hard to get his 10,000 steps in. The family gets to have media time if they get 10,000 steps. They completed reading Harry Potter 2 and watched the movie, and now are starting Harry Potter 3.
The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan was able to be home for the weekend and enjoy Wade's baseball game. Cameo had a great Mother's Day and Ethan made steaks for dinner. I enjoyed a sweet FaceTime call with them. Ethan was awarded Employee of the Month for all his hard work the last months. Wade gave me a full tour of their house too. They are well and Ethan gets to stay home this week.
The Doran Rice Family
Doran and Amber are very busy at work! Amber is now working over 60 hours a week...and it's constant work! Kelsie and Kooper are anxiously awaiting schools end.
Morgan
Morgan is doing well and working for a private mover.
Kayty
Kayty is working hard and planning for a trip in a couple of weeks to Zoo Campout with the Hyenas.
The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan, Jessica, and the girls had a busy week. Emma is turning into a grown up two year old a bit ahead of time and loves washing her hands...using plenty of soap! The girls visited their chickens here and played here on Friday while they had a date night. Saturday Nathan worked hard and ended up with some beautiful lumber for future projects once it is fully dried.
Dad's Garden
Tomatoes are being picked. Not a lot yet, but they are nice.
Other highlights
Dad and I spent a cooler Monday evening raking, bagging and hauling all the remaining twigs, sticks, logs and pine needles to either the pizza oven or the bulk trash pile. Later in the week, we hauled bags of pollen, blossoms, needles and leaves.
May the Fourth dinner: Star wars Dinner: Star WArs Pasta with Death STar Meatballs
Dad and I had our first ministering interview together on Tuesday evening. Not sure I like the interview together part. That was precious time to meet with a member of the relief society presidency and I will miss that.
Saturday, we expected Nathan to come by early to get lumber. It ended up he came late, Doran came during that time, Morgan came with some steaks and jalapeno poppers to grill, and with a little mixing up for beef green chili burros and other refrigerator finds, an impromptu Mothers Day lunch was enjoyed.
