Week of December 25 - 31, 2022

Spiritual
We enjoyed a lovely Christmas Morning Sacrament meeting full of music and joyous songs. It was the perfect beginning to Christmas day.

We were unable to attend the temple this week.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 44,892 records and reviewed 82,468 records this year. The number of records available to index has been shrinking in the last 8 or 9 months so I may have to choose a goal next year that involves time spent rather than number of records indexed.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins Family had a wonderful Christmas this year. Their main gift were bicycles for the entire family! They are so enjoying getting out in the nice cool air. They shared their Grammy stocking opening with me and it was so nice. Allison is enjoying her first holiday as a salaried employee and is looking forward to movies, playing games and preparing for the rest of the school year. Grace is looking forward to....sleeping!

The Ethan Rice Family
Happy 10th Birthday to Kaylee on Monday! She had a wonderful day!!

They are so enjoying Grampy Wally and Grandma Liza visiting!

The Doran Rice Family
Doran and Amber both had busy work weeks. The kids are enjoying their Christmas gifts and some time off school. We visited them on Friday and enjoyed their lovely home and Christmas decorations, both indoors and outdoors. Their tree is beautiful!!!

Doran, Amber and the kids came by on Saturday for a fun visit too.

Morgan
Morgan and Cassie had a very busy work week.

Kayty
Kayty had a good week at work and at home. A few more days off were very nice.

The Nathan Rice Family
This last week in Arizona was very busy. Nathan ended up having to repair/replace their radiator in their car. Three days were also spent filling the trucking container that will deliver their belongings to them in a couple of weeks. The girls had one final visit for a little bit on Friday while Nathan and Jessica cleaned out the car and prepared it for loading. We had a fun time and tried to do as much as we could in a short time. Goodbye's were very happy and that's the most important.

The plan was to leave from Ron and Laurie's at 7 pm and make the 17 hour trip straight there. Lots of prayers for safe travels and a wonderful new life in Bearden Arkansas!

I received an update Saturday morning. At about 11 am our time, they were about five hours away from the hotel they would be staying the night at, and Ellie had only thrown up once. They finally arrived near 7 pm their time at their hotel. They can go into their new house tomorrow. We are happy they are safe and ready for a new beginning.

Dad's Garden
We are loving the radishes we are picking. Still have lots of lettuce and chard to get to as well.

This is my aunt Muriel Kew and on the lounge is my Grandmother Etta Lucille Taylor Kew. She died when I was about a year old of throat cancer. There are very few pics of me with her.

Other highlights
Christmas Day began early and quiet. Kayty finally woke up and we exchanged gifts.

We then spoke with Ethan and family via Facetime and watched as they opened our stocking gifts.

We then got ready and spent some wonderful time at Grandma's for Christmas dinner. I spent every moment I could playing outdoors with Annie, Ellie, Emma and Eve. We enjoyed a great dinner of chicken parmesan, cauliflower and cheese, corn, mac and cheese and salad. Then Grandma shared gifts with all of us, and we then went our separate ways.

Home to clean up and get to bed.
