Week of June 6 - 12, 2021

Highlights:

Spiritual
We had a wonderful Sunday. Fast and Testimony Meeting was full of testimonies from the men and young men in the ward; stories of missionary service and of gratitude for missionaries sharing the gospel with them. It fell perfectly in line for my first primary lesson. It went ok but I will do better as I figure out this new way of teaching. We enjoyed a nice quiet Sunday and got a lot of studying done.

Temple remains open for limited us but we are not permitted to attend yet.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day. I completed my third time through the General Conference talks and started my fourth time through. I will finish the Book of Mormon on Sunday.

I have indexed 7969 records and reviewed 60511 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
Wilkins family is doing well. Busy busy week. Their temple and opened to phase 3 so work for the dead can be done by appointment. Allison starts full-time work starting next week. This week, they tried to start a new Summer routine. They tried to get the a/c fixed in the car but that didn't work out. Poor Mike had to walk home seven miles due to the bus not letting him on without a mask. Happy 18th Birthday to Adam on Wednesday! He took the day off of work and played video games with his friends. He is within a half-hour of getting four free tickets to Cowabunga Bay. The family cannot wait. Adam got some new shoes for work, some gaming headphones, a book, and Andy Capp's Hot Fries, some candy, and a game. He was treated to Raising Kane's for lunch and Stroganoff for dinner with Ice Cream Sundaes for his birthday treat. In celebration of Adam's graduation at the Youth Activity, he got a gift basket full of treats, Raising Kane's gift card, and nice stuff. They had grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and Mike made his dutch oven cobbler. Grace jammed her finger playing basketball and was pretty miserable. They got her a splint. Plus she had a bad day and decided to stop Summer School and not attend the Youth End of Year Activity. Josh and his team made the quarterfinals of soccer. The game remained tied through one overtime but they lost in the penalty kick round. Sam had some oral surgery this week. He has such a sensitive gag reflex so it was better to get everything done while sedated. He had to take it easy so Allison took the day off work.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan spent his week in Pennsylvania again. Cameo took the kids to Vacation Bible School and they had a wonderful week.

Wade struggled off and on all week with a stomach bug. All though are hanging in there.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran has been plagued with an infected tooth that needs another root canal as soon as the infection is gone. Still, he worked all week and so did Amber. The kids are well.

Morgan
Morgan is well and working when there is work available. He and Cassie took Dad camping and fishing on Thursday night and he had a great time in the cool weather.

Kayty
Kayty had a good week. Lots of work. Lots of overtime. No time for much else.

The Nathan Rice Family
Happy Second Birthday to Emma on Sunday! They celebrated by decorating cookies, her favorite. They had a good week, attending the Water Park a few times and having a lot of fun. However, Emma was not happy with Nathan when she had to share Nathan's drink with Anna...

They are doing well. Dad and Nathan got away for a brief fishing trip at Bartlett lake on Saturday evening.

Dad's Garden
We are getting the last few tomatoes. The weather is molten now. So the outside refrigerator is closed up and shut off till November.

Family History
Still waiting for Scanning assist.

Other highlights
Happy 84th birthday to Grandman on Tuesday! Dad took her out to lunch on Wednesday and they had a nice time.

Dad had a few days off work, so he mowed the lawn, volunteered to work at a food rescue for a few hours, installed with Morgan a room a/c for the music room, repaired the ceiling drywall in the garage, improved the garage evap cooler, and visited with a few friends.

Nano is in great health, though her disease makes her very confused and sometimes difficult for Elizabeth her caregiver.
