She had a great time.

The rest of the family had a fun week. It was Sams theme week and they had lots of fun with water, swimming, and visiting flamingos.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan spent four days working in Pennsylvania while Cameo kept things going at home. They left for a fun camping get away in a new area on the weekend. Now they have to find fun things closer to their new home.

The Doran Rice Family

One major low

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan and Jessica and the girls had a fun vacation week that included camping at Woods Canyon Lake, a trip to the fish hatchery, a tour of Cerettas Candy Company, and fun swimming here on Friday as Nathan smoked some ribs. On Saturday, Nathan took all those cement footings from the old playground to the dump. They had been piled in the yard for a long long time. So thankful.

Dad's Garden
Dead and gone. We also lost one of our little hens this week. It must have just gotten too hot for her.

Family History - Nano Slides
This was on a gift from my grandmother, Etta Lucille Taylor Kew. She died of esophageal cancer when I was only a year old. I do still have this ornament and its the first I hang near the top of the tree every year.

Rodeo Parade in Phoenix was a big thing. This float has Wallace and Ladmo on it.

Other highlights
Dad enjoyed a wonderful Father's Day. He had visits from Morgan and from Nathan, Jessica and the girls on Saturday...

On Sunday, he kindly taught my Primary class since I was sick, and later in the day he talked with Ethan and the kids and opened gifts from them, and then spoke with Doran for awhile on the phone. He enjoyed his special day and we are so thankful for him!

First Monsoon dust storm and rain was so nice!!!

On Thursday as I was getting ready, I lost the filling on my front tooth. Fortunately, it is in the rear of the tooth but Monday morning dental visits are not fun!

Allison shared:
I have 5ish weeks off of work, and I am spending them having fun with these guys. But also going to ALL of the appointments. So far we have done orthodontist, optometrist (where Grace got a new prescription and Josh got glasses for the first time), dentist and boosters for Josh. Josh never once complained about his vision... But apparently it was pretty bad. He is amazed at how much he can see now!

Now that Summer school is over, she is able to be home with the kids. They have been getting all their appointments done and catching up on all that important stuff. Adam is doing well at work. Adam will celebrate his birthday in the upcoming week. Grace is enjoying her Summer. She went to the lake on Wednesday and got a nasty sunburn. She also worked a couple of days at her job. She enjoyed a great Saturday Night dance. Josh is busy preparing for a river rafting trip in Idaho. Mike is busy working and repaired the EGR valve in the car.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan traveled again this week to Indiana to work with the distribution center there. The family had a good week. The kids facetimed on Friday and shared their pets with me as well as their rooms and their gifts for Daddy.
Kaylee and Wade got glasses this week. It has been quite a glasses month for Rice grandkids!!

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber, Kelsie and Kooper continue to get through the ups and downs of life.

Morgan
Morgan came by for a visit on Thursday and on Saturday. He and Cassie are preparing to move to Flagstaff.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week.

One minor save.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan took care of Jessica during the week as she recovered from the cold. The kids are doing well. He was able to complete his retaining wall project and fixed up the cement mixer with new paint before he returned it. It looks so nice.

Dad's Garden
Just keeping the oregano alive.

Family History
Nano's slides continue

Other highlights
Dad traveled to Indiana this week. It was an awful trip there, with delays after delays and a late night flight cancellation. He then flew from Chicago to South Bend Wednesday morning, missing his first supplier visit, but he did well on his second supplier visit. Traveled home on Thursday and spent the next days catching up on yard work.

I caught a cold and just took it easy on Saturday.

Week of June 5-11, 2022

Spiritual
Sunday was a very good Fast and Testimony Sunday. Many testimonies were shared about the temple. It is such a blessing that we can have a temple so near our home.

No temple attendance this week. I had to get Dad ready for his trip and he was out of state.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day. I completed another time of listening to General Conference and began again.

I have indexed 26,172 records and reviewed 56,247 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
Happy Birthday Adam on June 9th. Adam has been so busy working that they will celebrate with him next week. They did manage to get some yummy lunch to him at work.

The Wilkins family is busy and doing well. Mike and Allison continue to do well at their jobs. Adam passed his certification test and is now a Senior Technician. Grace loves working at Cowabunga Bay and is busy with friends and church activities. Joshua and Sam are enjoying their summer break. The week was full of dental and doctor checkups.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan traveled for work this week to Indiana. Cameo did her best to work and hold down the fort while being very ill. The kids were a great help though. Kaylee is quite the cook, preparing grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and a chicken pot pie for dinner.

Cameo shared the kids' end-of-school pics.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber and family continue to get through challenges. Doran and Amber both had busy work weeks. Kooper spent a few days at Nathan and Jessicas. He really enjoyed going to the library.

Morgan
No news from Morgan.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week and quiet evenings. She went to see the final Jurassic Park movie on Saturday night.

One major and one minor save this week.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan is finally able to take his family leave for Eve's birth. He spent the week working in the yard and cleaning out things. He continues to pour a reinforcement wall in the back of his yard. The girls are enjoying the fun things Jessica plans for Summer.

Dad's Garden
Too hot! Dead!!

Family History
Nano's slides continue

This was my Dad's friend from work, Carl Wright. I called him Uncle Carl. He was very kind and I was even a part of his wedding when I was older.

Other highlights
Dad left Tuesday and spent a few days in Sioux Falls South Dakota. The trip there was a bit crazy, with a delay of over an hour to take off while they found a pilot and a two-hour wait for a reserved rental car. He did get to hunt for rocks and enjoy cooler weather. The supplier was located a couple of hours away, so he was able to enjoy the drive and the visit. Great supplier! He was taken to lunch and out to see the Missouri River too.
