Week of May 1-7, 2022

Spiritual
What a glorious Sunday it was as Eve May Rice received a name and a blessing from Nathan. We loved their ward Fast and Testimony Meeting and were blessed to hear the testimonies of Nathan, Anna, Ellie and Emma. Dad enjoyed attending their Sunday School class and I was overjoyed to be in Sharing Time in Primary and see the girls sing.

We were able to get appointments to attend the temple this week. I attended a session on Tuesday morning. Dad attended Thursday evening.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 19,871 records and reviewed 40,321 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
We had a great Marco Polo Visit on Sunday. This family is doing well. Adam is enjoying his job and saving up to move out. Grace was asked to attend Mormon Prom with a friend and got a beautiful new dress to wear. She has enjoyed singing in the Stake Conference Choir as well as leading a youth and primary choir for a Mother's Day song. Josh is doing really well at soccer and scored a goal and made a few great plays. Sam is loving school and making more and more friends. Mike is doing well and was able to take Grace and Josh to the dentist for check ups. Allison continues to work and is looking for Summer work as well as a position next year that allows for her school work. All are happy and doing great.

The Ethan Rice Family
This family powered through and the final load to the storage unit was dropped off Sunday night. A late dinner and then off to their travel trailer home for the next four weeks. Papers were signed on Monday morning and their lovely first home in Georgia was on to the next owners. Kaylee really wanted a hair cut with bangs, and she got it done...

It looks wonderful...and she all of a sudden grew up! They are doing well in their trailer life and the kids had great ballgames on Saturday. Kaylee even got to play catcher.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran struggled with a cold early in the week. The family is good and busy. Kooper even ran into a rattlesnake Saturday but Doran had an impression earlier to let him know what to do if he saw one.

Morgan
Morgan and Cassie are busy working and preparing to move.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week. She is adjusting to the new schedule well.

The Nathan Rice Family
What a glorious Sabbath Day as Eve May Rice was blessed on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

They worked all week getting ready for grass to be delivered early Saturday morning. When it was brought twelve hours early, Dad and I went over and helped a bit to level the yard while Nathan put down the sod. It is complete and looks wonderful.

Dad's Garden
We and the quail are fighting for those nice tomatoes but the quail are winning. The weather is warming up and the garden will take its rest soon.

Other highlights
On Monday, we attended Bishop Joseph Fish's funeral. It was so wonderful to see his wonderful wife Barbara and to hear about his life as shared by his children and grandchildren. It was also great to see so many people from our early marriage years. We stopped by and visited with John Scott on the way home and had a great visit.

I visited mom on Thursday and brought her some hydrangeas. I also brought flowers to Elizabeth, her caregiver. Dee took flowers for Mother's Day to his mom on Friday night.
