Week of March 24 - March 30, 2024

Spiritual
We had a very good Sunday session of stake conference! The opening prayer was by a lovely primary child. The talks: a primary child (once in my class), a youth and a single adult. The music: one choir number and one song by all the youth present in the stake. Just a great meeting! Quiet day for the rest of Sunday, talking with Annie, Ellie, Emma, Allison, Grace, Josh and Sam.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 13,075 records and reviewed 9430 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins Family is doing well and working hard. Grace got her senior pictures taken and is counting the days till school ends. Josh had a great soccer game and is doing well. Sam is so enjoying Pep Band and loves playing his baritone. Mike is doing great at work. Allison interviewed for a head teacher responsibility. Adam is doing well at work too.
Grace shared her testimony of prayer:
Throughout Jesus’s life, especially in the last week, prayer was such an important piece of the story. He prays for His disciples and He tells His disciples to pray for themselves as well. He knew that He would have to leave His disciples, so He let them know that they can talk to Heavenly Father and the importance of prayer. He encouraged them to ask Heavenly Father for help and the things that they need to make it through challenges. He told them that they would never be alone if they turned to their Father in Heaven.
I have a strong testimony of prayer. I know that prayer is a way to talk to Heavenly Father and He loves it when we talk to Him. I know that when we ask Heavenly Father for things that we need, He always has an answer. Although it might seem like He doesn’t answer or He deserts you at times, there have been times I have felt like that, I know He is listening and has an answer, it just might not be time to hear it yet. Heavenly Father has a plan for you and whatever challenges you are going through, Heavenly Father is there to help. He is waiting for us to ask and He will jump in with whatever He knows you need, even if it is different than what you think might be what you need.💙💙

The Ethan Rice Family
Cameo shared on Wednesday:
I wanted to take a moment to congratulate our 5th grade girlie. Only 5️⃣ out of 1,078 students at her school were selected to participate in the elementary school honor chrous program. Today she took a special field trip, and performed this evening. The kids did such an awesome job. We are very proud of our Kaylee Alyssa. 🎵
Dad traveled for his first Last Year AT Honeywell vacation.

At Lake Alatoona on Saturday

Easter egg dying that night while Cameo made her famous carrot cake.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber and the kids had a good week. Busy work for Doran with lots of overtime hours.
They enjoyed Grandmas Easter Celebration on Saturday.

Kayty had a busy work week.

The Nathan Rice Family
Annie and Nathan made a wonderful dessert last weekend.
Exciting news: the put an offer in on a home and it was accepted. Now for all the inspections, loan stuff, etc. but hopefully all goes well and without any problems. The girls are sure enjoying softball/tball practice. Saturday, they spent their morning delivering cupcake treats to friends and neighbors.

Dad's Garden
Snow peas are going to seed now. Many seeds for next year. Spinach continues to grow. Dad transplanted some volunteer tomatoes into the tomato garden. I cut away some of the oregano that was spreading. Dad removed a potato plant volunteer that actually had potatoes beginning to grow on it.

Other highlights
Dad traveled to Ohio at the beginning of the week for work. The plane left Phoenix two hours late but he managed to get a nice dinner and find his hotel. He visited the company, toured and attended meetings on Tuesday, and then had time to visit the Kirtland Temple.
