Week of April 8-14, 2018

Highlights:

Spiritual
It was a wonderful but very busy Sunday. We arrived at church for the choir to practice the song they would sing in Sacrament Meeting. Our meeting was a very good one, with a great youth speaker and our former High Priest Group Leader and Elder's Quorum President speaking. A sister sang a solo between the first two talks and the choir sang between the last two. I t was a great and very spiritual meeting. I helped in a very active Primary class the rest of the morning. We had a temple recommend interview with a bishopric member right after church. I had Cub Committee Meeting right after that. The meeting was planned to be 30 minutes, but much time was spent on Cub Camp and the plans that had and had not been made. An hour and a half later, I headed home, grabbed a nibble and headed to choir practice. That lasted later than planned, as we practiced songs that we will sing with another ward in Stake Conference. I hurried home, ate a quick salad, changed back into my skirt and we were off to complete our temple recommend interviews with a counselor to the stake president.  Whew! So busy. I didn't even get time to index.

Dad helped me at Cub Scouts because Sister Day was helping out a daughter who had surgery that day. It went well. We played a dinosaur game, Dad talked about fossils and showed them his fossils, we made our own fossil imprints in clay, and then made a layered dessert with pudding, skittles, raisins and graham crackers. Digging In The Past Adventure complete. Dad attended a campout/hike on Friday night.

Family

The Wilkins Family
This family had a pretty good week, mixed with trying to get Josh healed from a terrible case of Pink Eye. They spent Friday on a family fun trip and got to pet some crazy animals.  Mike and Allison asked Adam and Grace to make something for the Youth Camp Auction held on Saturday night. Grace baked cookies and a babysitting gift certificate, and Adam made a teeter totter.

The Ethan Rice Family
On Monday, Cameo shared pics from their family trip to the Chatahoochie River.

Kaylee missed school early in the week due to an ear infection. Wade will be getting tubes in his ears to alleviate his ear troubles. He has had a rough Winter.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber, Kelsie and Kooper stopped by for a quick visit on Sunday. Kelsie had gotten her hair cut and it came out so cute! Kooper just played for a few minutes, always with that very happy smile on his face.

Morgan
Morgan had a great time fishing!

Kayty
Kayty had a good week at work and got her new cubicle finally set up...

Two saves this week.

The Nathan Rice Family
We got to talk to this whole family on Sunday as they rested up for the last week of this semester. Anna showed me a new coloring book she got from her friend. She just loves it! Ellie was asleep part of the time, and then awake, happy and hungry part of the time. Monday was a great day! Nathan passed his exam and is now officially a Six Sigma Greenbelt! He spent some time with the family at the park.

Later, he worked on his can project: designed a food can rotation system that was laser cut and he even had their picture etched at the end. We spoke Wednesday night late as he had finished studying for the next two days of exams. He had done well the day before and scored well. His last final he studied for hours and hours, and after the test, he was satisfied, and ended up getting a 92! Saturday, he began cleaning out their storage unit.

Dad's Garden
Tomatoes are looking awesome! Hopefully that will continue.

Year of the House Part 2
We pulled the toilet on Monday, chipped up the old tile and grout and readied for tile install. There was a problem with the pipe in the wall, so Wade came over Tuesday morning to help Dad move it.

Dad grouted tile that would be under the toilet. I sealed it later, we installed the toilet, bought two more wax rings and then re installed it on Thursday. We are not happy with that installation and had hoped to re do on Saturday, but Dad and I will do it next week.

Other highlights
Great walk/jogs this week, and one by the temple on Friday night.

I finally got to see "The Greatest Showman"! Downloaded the music too. Now I am not so far behind the rest of the world.

Nano shopping went well. I also took her to get her hair cut and to a doctor for her shot for osteoporosis.

We celebrated Doran and Dad's birthday on Saturday.
