Week of January 1-5, 2019

Highlights:

Spiritual
I have set a goal to be more deliberate, and I have used that in my reading of the Book of Mormon. I began reading verse by verse, starting at the end. I get more of an opportunity to ponder and see each verse individually and it has been a very good experience so far.

Dad and I went out with the sister missionaries for a missionary discussion.

Dad attended a session at the Phoenix Temple on Thursday night. Many changes have happened. I hope to get there next week.

Family

The Wilkins Family
Wilkins family is doing well.
They worked on their traditional New Years Puzzle...

They enjoyed their time off school just being together and helping one another.

The Ethan Rice Family
This family enjoyed their time with Grampy Wally.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran, Amber, Kelsie and Kooper had a good week that included rescue dogs, playing with friends, and some fishing.

Morgan
Morgan and Aimee are doing well.

Kayty
Kayty slept when not at work, and worked four out of five days.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan was ill during the week. He was able to go to Motor Vehicles and change car registrations, get new drivers licenses, and get a lot of things done. They also moved their real beds into the playroom for the next weeks they are here (air mattresses can only feel good for so long!) They enjoyed visiting with Jessica's family on Saturday, and Nathan helped build a new horse pen for the three mini horses they have been given.

Dad's Garden
We had very cold weather all week, but Dad kept the tomatoes covered and we didn't lose very much. He finally was able to plant the tomato plants he had grown indoors from seed.

Other highlights
Dad began working at the Honeywell Plant this week. Not something he is fond of, but even with no assigned boss, job, etc, he managed to visit a few old suppliers, find some new ones, and in the bathroom, he saw this...

Apparently toilet instructions are needed for employees not from the United States.

Got EVERYTHING put away from Christmas late Saturday afternoon. Village took two partial and two full days to get down. I love it when things are up...and love when they are put away!

Took Nano shopping and to get more things out of her house this week.
