Week of February 23 - March 2, 2019

Highlights:

Spiritual
We had a good Sunday at church. A missionary, Elder Wesley Bywater, returned from his two year mission in Texas last week, and reported on that service. I was in the nursery just being mindfull of Ellie as she was one of the smaller little ones in the nursery. Dad taught a good lesson in the Deacon's Quorum.

I had a Cub Committee Meeting Sunday, informing me of all the preparations I had forgotten (on my list for this week) for the Knights of the Round Table Blue and Gold Banquet: information and pictures in Highlight section. Dad went to Scouts to plan a Joint Activity, but people ended up being ill, so he returned home.

I continue to read the Book of Mormon every day, and am reading the March Ensign Magazine.

I have indexed 5401 records and reviewed 6232 records so far this year. I set a goal of 5000 records for this year, and I achieved that.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins family is doing well and hanging in there with the struggles of daily life and a child with a broken foot. We are praying for you, Josh!!

The Ethan Rice Family
Cameo shared this along with plenty of great pics...
"The kids were out on Mid-Winter Break February 16-25. Some highlights were Chick-Fil-a lunch with Jeanette Rogers Schmidt & Kinsey, Woody’s Jump & Play with MaryBeth Sullivan Watson & Ashley Davidson, consignment sale shopping, Brooklyn’s Birthday Party, and outdoor fun when it wasn’t raining ☔️. We are very grateful for all of the friendship that we have made while living here in Georgia. "

We spoke on FaceTime on Friday, and Ethan had spent last week a couple hours away at a management training and retreat. He was awarded a plaque for being the top manager and a bonus that he is using to purchase plaques for the leaders in his organization. Hurray for you, Ethan!!

The Doran Rice Family
The family had a good week. Doran worked hard on completing the tile project in the bedroom, and grouted it on Friday.

Morgan
Morgan, Aimee and Emileigh are doing well, busy with school and work, and they have a paint project currently going.

Kayty
Kayty had a good week and is all signed up for her insurance and other benefits. She is doing well.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan and Jessica, Anna and Ellie had a good week that included work, swinging, spinning on the tire swing, fun meals with Jessica's family in her mom's newly completed kitchen, date night, and breakfast with her sister in law after a long gestational diabetes test. All are healthy and the girls are enjoying their days.

Dad's Garden
Dad got more planted to replace frozen stuff and the garden is loving the beautiful weather.

Other highlights
Blue and Gold Banquet - Truly my LAST on! I arrived at church to set up, and was confused to find balloons and paper on the tables. Turns out, other ward had set up their Blue and Gold, assuming that the building was theirs. Fortunately, our leaders had reserved it, and while the kind male leaders from our ward carried tables and chairs out to the parking lot for the other ward, we frantically set up ours for our ward(Sonoran Mtn ward youth were added to our troops months ago).Dinner was finger food: chicken, grapes, carrots, rolls, and cookies, and the activities prepared by the men were awesome! It was a great LAST Blue and Gold Banquet.

I took Nano out shopping on Thursday, for bras, some tops and pants. Then I took her to her doctor for a b12 shot, and then to the bank and home. I also purchased a separate file box and got all her paperwork at my house organized and separated from other paperwork here.

Dad took Kelsie to perform family baptismal ordinances.

On Saturday, Doran, Amber, Kelsie and Kooper came over, and while Dad, Nathan, and Doran worked on the trailer fix up, cleaning and painting the steel portions, we made pizza and Kelsie and kooper tried out the pool....too cold!!!!
