Week of October 3-October 9, 2021

Highlights:

Spiritual
We so enjoyed watching General Conference on Sunday morning. No special treats but just snacking and watching.

Dad attended a session at the temple on Wednesday night. Appointments are more difficult to get now, and his next one is at the end of October. When he has a week off, I want to complete the work I did for the Mize family with sealing them to their parents.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 17,047 records and reviewed 95,408 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
This was week two of no school or work for the Wilkins Family. (Mike and Allison could work, however.) Grace was beginning to feel better on Tuesday and even felt like getting in the shower. By Wednesday, her fever was staying low unmedicated. Adam had a cough and upset stomach as did Josh. Sam ended up getting to sleep in the living room in a hammock, and he declared he LOVED not going to school and having to do writing assignments. I fear once he realizes he still has that work he is missing to complete, he will not be so happy. Mike and Allison are still working, though Allison got a minor case and is still able to work, separated from any others and fully masked.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan and Cameo had a good week and took a fun trip out of town on the weekend. They are doing well. The basement flooring was completed and all looks great!

Wade is enjoying school and the fun friends he makes there.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran and Amber and their family are doing well. Doran is enjoying his new truck

and his new duties at work. His arm continues to heal. Amber is going to complete her bachelor's degree via BYU Pathways and us up for a promotion at work.

Morgan
No news from Morgan this week.

Kayty
Kayty worked lots of overtime during the week and even some Saturday hours. She is refilling her deplenished savings account.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan continues to work on his car. It runs well but needs a new power steering pump. Nathan and Jessica and Dad picked up a new credenza/shelf unit on Wednesday night and now they plan on putting two girls in each bedroom. Now, which two girls??? We watched their soccer game on Saturday...

After the game, they took a final trip for the season to the water park.

Dad's Garden
Dad planted tomatoes, spinach, chard, carrots, and lots of other things. His snow peas and snap peas are coming up. I picked a ton of basil and made many batches of pesto that are now snug in the freezer.

Other highlights
Nice rain on Tuesday meant for a cool day.

Grandma stopped by for a visit on Friday. She is doing well and had a good week, visiting Uncle Loyd and having lunch with Sherry, Doreen and Rachael.
