Week of October 23 - 29, 2022

Spiritual
Sunday was wonderful. It was our ward's Primary Program and it was a joy to participate with the kids. They did great! My lesson went as well as it could have. We attended our tithing declaration appointment with our bishop after church. Dad had two meetings to attend for stake sunday school regarding ward Come Follow Me.

Dad attended an endowment session at the temple on Thursday evening.

My daily morning foundation of General Conference talk(s), prayer, scripture study and Come Follow Me study continues each day.

I have indexed 39,958 records and reviewed 76,516 records so far this year.

Family

The Wilkins Family
The Wilkins Family was busy this week with many fun Halloween activities. Trunk or Treats and dressing up...and Grace even got a few pies in the face.

The Ethan Rice Family
Ethan traveled to Pennsylvania this week and Cameo kept things going at home. Wadey has been struggling with a lingering illness but was able to attend his first field trip to a farm this week. He even made butter and thought it was pretty good. It was great that Cameo could attend! They held their annual Halloween Party on Saturday night.

The Doran Rice Family
Doran and Amber had a good work week and Kelsie and Kooper enjoyed their fun Halloween activities even while attending school.

Morgan
Morgan called and he and Cassie are doing well.

Kayty
Kayty had a good work week. As for her health, early Friday morning I discovered her in seizure as I did my periodic checking. I got the root beer I had on the ready and she was stopped in about ten minutes but something was not right. She wasn't coming back as usual. I stayed with her, and gave her periodic sips but she began not swallowing but just keeping them in her mouth. After 40 minutes, I woke up Dad, who came and gave her a priesthood blessing, and then we started with more root beer. When she still was out of it, I gave her the expired rescue glucagon inhaler we have....nothing. So we got her out on the family room couch and called 911. Four great paramedics arrived as she was seeming to come around. They checked her. After my hour of working with her, her glucose was dangerously low at 31. They had glucose packets to give and she had three. She was better and I was thankful for all the heavenly and earthly help. She has been great and I check her frequently all night.

The Nathan Rice Family
Nathan, Jessica and the girls are doing well. House sale is moving with inspection next week. On Monday, Jess took Ellie out to Scottsdale to see an allergist and she went through a battery of testing. No results yet. Annie, Emma and Eve played here and we enjoyed the cooler weather to play in outside as well as Hotel Transylvania 3. Nathan does have the new job but a start date has not been settled on as yet. They had such a fun time at their ward Trunk or Treat on Friday.

Dad's Garden
Dad's garden is doing pretty well. Still contending with crickets but the basil looks awesome!!

Family History  Nano Slides Continue

I have absolutely no recollection of riding an elephant ever! I am assuming this was when the circus train used to come to town and you could watch them unload animals.

I was a bride for Halloween

We camped over Sharynns birthday at an A Frame Cabin in Alpine Arizona.

Other highlights
Dad traveled to Long Beach this week for two days to see a supplier. His trip was good.

I set up the Winter Village this week. It took longer, and had a few bumps (at the beginning, two houses toppled onto the floor. Dad did the repairs as soon as he returned home) but it is done for 2022.

This is my Christmas Present for 2022.

We enjoyed attending our ward Trunk or Treat! Dad again played music for the event and I handed out popcorn in the Primary booth. No meal this year so it was mostly folks with kids and grandkids.

Kayty and I are in the background to the left at the popcorn booth
