Christmas December 25, 2012

Christmas Morning started later...than ever, I do believe. At 10:45 AM, we yelled to Kayty down the hall that we were eating the Monkey Bread and going in to see gifts at 11:00 AM. She woke up.

Before...
Kayty's lonely stocking

One lonely little present from Santa in front of the fireplace. Again, Santa got not treats. I tried to con Kayty into stopping on her way home from the movie last night to get a Jack Taco to leave for him, but she didn't. I don't know if Santa will be stopping by THIS house next year!!!

Monkey Bread

The Line Up...so sad! Kayty was lonely, so Dad joined. Thus, this year, youngest to oldest!

Dad got Heath Bars in his stocking. Every time we go to Costco, he asks for HEALTH bars...says they are good for him. Every. Single. Time. ...over three years. I gave in!

From Daddy: Pink Shotgun Shells!

From Santa: Pink Power Ranger Jacket.

Then we headed to Grandma Dorrie's for Christmas Dinner....

A special gift for each Rice: Grandma had taken all of Grandpa Ethan McFarland's fishing gear and divided it up for each child, carefully placed in its own tackle box.

While posing for our group picture in front of the fireplace, Dad's cell phone rang. On the other end: Elder Rice! If we hurried home, we could talk with him for an hour! We made a 20 minute trip...in 9 minutes!
Skyping Elder Rice. We can only do audio because Christmas is not celebrated in Korea like it is here, so a members; home is not available. It was so much fun, though it was weird, at times. We found ourselves talking to the microphone on the table. We were so glad Ethan and Cameo could be there. Doran had to take Amber to the doctor: she ended up having pneumonia.

Totally great Christmas. Thank you to everyone!
